The IT & Security Team

OpenZeppelin is a leader in blockchain security, providing cutting-edge security audits and services to top Web3 organizations. Our Security and IT team plays a critical role in safeguarding our infrastructure, ensuring compliance, and enabling our distributed team with secure and efficient IT solutions.

What you'll be doing

Security & Compliance Support

  • Assist in managing security tools, including endpoint security (e.g., MDM solutions like JAMF or Intune).
  • Support implementation of security policies and procedures.
  • Help with internal security audits and compliance documentation.
  • Monitor system access and assist in enforcing security controls.
  • Participate in incident response activities and learn best practices for handling security incidents.

IT Operations & Support

  • Help with onboarding and offboarding processes, including provisioning accounts and setting up workstations.
  • Provide technical support for remote employees, troubleshooting basic IT and security issues.
  • Maintain IT assets and document configurations.
  • Assist with integrations, automations, and basic scripting tasks where applicable.

Growth & Learning Opportunities

  • Work closely with senior engineers to gain hands-on experience in IT security and compliance.
  • Receive mentorship and training in security best practices, cloud security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Contribute to internal security awareness initiatives.

You have

  • 1-3 years of experience in IT or security-related roles (help desk, IT support, sysadmin, security analyst, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Workspace) and security tools.
  • Some experience with IT administration, endpoint security, or identity/access management.
  • Understanding of security best practices and a willingness to learn more about SOC 2, ISO 27001, and compliance frameworks.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a remote-first team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with MDM solutions (e.g., Jamf, Intune, Kandji).
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (firewalls, VPNs, DNS).
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Google IT Support, or AWS Cloud Practitioner.
  • Exposure to security tools such as SIEM, EDR, or vulnerability scanners.
  • Passion for cybersecurity and an eagerness to grow into a more senior role.

Our interview process takes place on Zoom and tends to consist of the following stages:

  • Hiring Manager Call (45 mins)
  • Team Interview (30 mins)
  • Leadership Interview (30 mins)
  • Paid work test (Lasting up to 10 days)
  • Reference checks
