Position Description
Ardent is seeking a highly skilled and motivatedﾂTest Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation, particularly for Esri software solutions. This role is integral to ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications through effective automation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Automation Development:ﾂDesign, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for Esri software products. Utilize tools and methodologies to ensure comprehensive test coverage and efficient execution.
- Test Planning:ﾂCollaborate with project stakeholders to understand requirements and define test plans, including both functional and performance criteria for Esri applications.
- Test Execution:ﾂExecute automated tests, analyze results, and document test outcomes. Identify and report defects, and work with development teams to facilitate timely resolution.
- Test Strategy:ﾂCollaborate with product managers, developers, and QA engineers to define test strategies, create test plans, and determine appropriate test automation approaches for Esri software.
- Problem-Solving:ﾂExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and propose effective solutions.
- Collaboration:ﾂStrong communication and teamwork abilities, with experience working in a collaborative environment.
- Attention to Detail:ﾂMeticulous attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Test Reporting:ﾂAnalyze results, and provide detailed reports on test outcomes, including defect identification and resolution.
- Integration:ﾂWork closely with development and QA teams to integrate automated testing into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Documentation:ﾂMaintain clear and comprehensive documentation of test processes, scripts, and results. Ensure that all documentation adheres to federal contracting standards.
- Issue Tracking:ﾂTrack and manage defect reports and test results, ensuring accurate logging and follow-up on issues discovered during automated testing.
- Issue Resolution:ﾂTroubleshoot, and resolve issues related to test automation and software quality. Provide actionable feedback to development teams.
- Federal Contracting Compliance:ﾂEnsure that all test automation activities comply with federal contracting requirements and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor・・s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in test automation engineering, with a focus on federal contracting environments.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).
- Strong experience with Esri software and APIs, including ArcGIS and related technologies.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Familiarity with federal contracting processes, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and propose effective solutions.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with experience working in a collaborative environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional Esri products or tools.
- Certification in relevant test automation tools or methodologies.
- Previous experience working with Agile or DevOps methodologies.
